
About Us About the Washington, D.C. Chapter Southern University Alumni Federation The Washington, DC Chapter of the Southern University Alumni Federation was founded in 1963. The chapter's members consist of Southern University alumni residing in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia communities. The Chapter's goals are to keep alumni informed and engaged in issues surrounding the Southern University System, host alumni gatherings for networking and fellowship, promote the University, recruit prospective students and serve as a liaison between alumni in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area and the National Alumni office. To achieve these goals, some of the chapter's activities include, but are not limited to:
1) Annual Crawfish Boil and Membership drive, 2) Fall and 3) The Mardi Gras Ball 4) Host visiting University and Alumni officials and Guests
We invite and encourage all fellow alumni to get involved with the chapter and support chapter initiatives.
